So, i own a 206cc with just over 100k on clock its a 2006 model yes old but its been my project and its almost there ready for mot time.

Then i found this, humans are getting lazy.

This really got me fairly newish car with such mileage or is it just me ?

I don't understand the first post. What is the post in the picture getting at?

Think it's around a 2017 car having already accumulated 100,000 miles. 5 years so only 20,000 per year.

I took my 306 HDi from 122,000 to 229,000 at a similar rate. It doesn't seem that extreme to me!

There's a post on Pistonheads forum "high mileage cars for sale" some of the vehicles in there have covered vastly higher distances in much shorter timescales - puts my efforts and that example above in the shade!

Years ago I sold a used six cylinder Datsun Laurel to a taxi man, saw him a few years later and asked how it was going he said it had over a million miles on the clock and still on the original engine but he was going to have to scrap it because of the rust.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

A 2017 car with 100k is 20k/year...above average, sure, but not uncommon. It wouldn't put me off if the price was right and there was some proof of maintenance.

Even more so if the 100k the person refers to is km rather than miles
