Air in Xantia brakes

I suspect my Xantia has got air in the brakes. What's the easiest way to tell?

Bleed it out! I bled my brakes on saturday and have got a great pedal now! Its really easy too.........Have a freind with there foot on the brakes and the car in high ride, slowly crack each nipple in turn , with a pipe into a empty bottle attached, and let flow the LHM. Keep checking the resovoir to make sure its not too low.I did this on a wheel free ramp, so caution must be exercised if you do it on the ground, as you don't want the suspension dropping.
