Hi, can someone please help with the location of and id numbers of the airbag wires under the center console between the front seats? I don’t have a wiring diagram, unless anyone could ping me one over? I can get thé vin number if it helps.
It’s a 2001 LX UK model.

Yes, the VIN would be ideal as there are many variations of the airbag system.

Re: C5 2001 Airbag wire identification help
I can’t make
Head nor tail of it lol
The unit in front of gear stick is no use to get to, the loom is too hard to access. I can access wires to steering wheel easy, but which wires are the ones to the air bag on that diagram?
I have 3x 2891, 7711 in one plug
2200 x2 in one plug
3199 and 8143 in another
8133, 2891 x2, with 9012b and 9013b twisted together…in one plug
Any clues? Maybe the twisted ones?

Re: C5 2001 Airbag wire identification help
What is it your actually trying to do? Are you fault finding?
Component codes can be found here > https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/wiki/Elect ... ring_Codes
On this diagram the drivers air bag is shown integrated into the com200 unit (component CV00) The driver & passenger airbags each have 2 igniters to enable the airbags to deploy with different force depending on the severity of the impact.
The igniter wires for the drivers airbag are plugged into the com200 unit behind the steering wheel. One of the plugs is a 2 pin brown connector & should have wires 6600 & 6601 The other one is a 2 pin blue connector & should have wires 6639 & 6638.
If I know what it is your trying to do it will be easier to help further.

Wheeler, better not to ask as it’s something I’ve already discussed with the OP and not something we want discussing here. That’s why he’s been a bit vague to avoid breaking the Forum rules.
