Dispatch 2012 hdi dipstick split in half

The dipstick is split in half, the other half lying in the sump somewhere. Is there any way I can get it out?

I would not worry about it, from memory Citroen used to take the sump off to retrieve the broken bit but think they just leave it in the sump, its not going to damage anything.
I have had to replace them on both my 2.0 hdi citroens.
If yours is the same as mine the revised part number is 1174G9 and is £20 from the dealers.

Just to clarify something i forgot to say
I am assuming that you are referring to the orange plastic bottom part of the dipstick being broken in half, if we are talking about the metal part then that is a different issue totally
