Hi i was under the car last night looking for the nox sensor (although just laid on floor so not best views) but i couldnt locate the nox sensor.
Does anyone have a picture or the location of where the nox sensor should be on a 65 plate, c4 hatchback
thanks

Re: NOX sensor location
It depends on the system - there may be an upstream and a downstream DeNOx sensor.
Pop your VIN up (automasked on post submission) so I can see exactly what you have.

Re: NOX sensor location
Ok, so it is located in the intermediate part of the exhaust, so past the rear box going towards the front of the vehicle, look for the flexible mount of the intermediate pipe and it should be about 6-12" further up. It looks like this:

Re: NOX sensor location and 2 codes
Sorry to bump this back up, managed to get most codes cleared now, but i keep get the engine warning light coming back on after about 1-2 hours clearing codes.
Only 2 codes that appear now are
P2048 Reductant Injector Circuit Low Bank 1 Unit 1
P2047 Reductant Injector Circuit Open Bank 1 Unit 1
Googling seems to bring up possible electrical issues? is that right?
As usual thank you for al lyour help.

Re: NOX sensor location
Well ‘electrical issues’ is a very broad description.
You have some sort of issue with the urea injector.
You need to check its operation with diagnostics. Diagbox will guide you through it by actuating it under pressure for a set amount of time (around a minute if I remember right). You remove it from the exhaust during the test & point it into a measuring container & it will telll you how much adblue should be in the container at the end. You also visually check the spray pattern during this time.

Re: NOX sensor location
Cheers, my diagbox doesnt work cant connect to car error, been over the install about 20 times lol
I might remove the injector and give it a clean in case its blocked, its similar to the attachement (although i cleaned to deposits off the outside)

Re: NOX sensor location
Your version of Diagbox may be too old for the vehicle. You may need V9.** depending on vehicle and build date and equipment.

Re: NOX sensor location
Did you remove the connector & check for crystalized ablue? In theory the leaking ablue could have damaged the injector. The injectors can get badly caked in exhaust soot, but i have seen them looking really bad but the spray pattern is still perfect. It could be really difficult to check the urea injector without diagnostics.
