Buying new car.

Unread post by Knight shadow »

Hello first of all. Im searching for.my first car, and i ended up in a mini love with the Citroen C4 VTRS 1600cc. I dont know why i dont find nothing about the VTRS or don't know what it stands for..but the result that i found is only for the vts(neither i know about that). Its the same one?? Second im from Greece. I just want to know what to expect from the car.(it has already 200k km) what need have to look before im going for that, what problems have those C4's (its the 10/2003 model i think). Thank you very much.

Sorry for.my bad English..

I think you mean VTR or VTS - these were 2 separate versions, there wasn't a VTRS model as far as I can tell.

I think the VTS had stiffer and lower suspension, heavier steering (less power assistance) and some other extras and I think the ESP system could be turned off permanently (as in not switched off temporarily with a timeout or re-engagement over a certain speed like other models) which would make sense if you were rallying or racing.

Oh ok. And what about the problem that the car has...i have heard about head gaskets blowing very easily, the transmission blows easy too from other People, i dont know if those are true facts. Does the c4 have known problems or by any of those who had it in the past or have it now??

I'm sure there will be some other C4 owners who can comment on their ownership of these,

It depends how the cars are looked after.
Husky. :? Thinking outside of the box is better than sitting in a dark one.
