Peugeot 308 starting and charging issues
Hi 308 1.6 vti 2011. Fitted new engine and everything went well but tried starting but just starter clicking charged battery and still the same. I had another starter so fitted that but still just clicking.bump started car no problem but just clicks after switching off. Battery light on so tested alternator no volts but pulled exciter wire and volts go to 14 volts at alternator but only 10 volts at battery terminals and dropping. Especially/abs/stop and battery light on and no power steering. Tested all engine bay fuses and all OK I don't know about the bpga thing. Any ideas would be great. Cheers

Nor do I - what are you on about "bpga"
To me that's "Bacterial Pan Genome Analysis"

I've checked earth's and there was only one I needed to take off which was the gearbox one positive cable on battery is good. Bpga is battery protection module on top of battery is there any fuses between battery and charging side. I've noticed that positive battery cable goes to that pbga thing and it matches battery voltage but cable to starter from bpga drops down to 4 volts when I try and start car.

Ok, the 'Electrical Supplies Protection and Management Unit' - that makes sense now.
