How do I properly code diesel injectors?

Unread post by SpaceMoose »

I had the garage change a diesel injector on my Peugeot 508 SW 1.6 hdi automatic this summer.
Since the garage didn't manage to clear the fault codes and code the ECU with the new diesel injector number I did it myself with Diagbox. The didn't havde to proper tools for it.

I coded the ECU with the new code successfully but Diagbox tells me afterwards to drive the car with engine speed of 2600 rpm and then decelerate to 1600 rpm so the car can go through programming operations. Please see screenshot.

Do I really need to do this driving to comple the injector coding?
In what stage do I do this? Does Diagbox need to be connected? or does the programming operations execute when using the car?

I did driving with the exact conditions stated in the screenshot with diagbox disconnected. When checking the number of complete programming operations afterwards in the parameter menu the value is still on 0.
Am I doing something wrong here? Maybe Diagbox needs to be connected and in an specific menu for the car the be able to do this programming operations?

Hello Sorry it's a bit of a late answer. At the end of this youtube video you can watch how to do the injector coding.
