407 2006 Automatic Transmission Replacement.

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to replace the 4 speed 2006 407 2.0 Automatic Transmission with a 6 speed Automatic Transmission (AWTF-80 SC), what other parts should be replaced in case of replacement.

Although the later 407 was fitted with the AM6, you will find that it will have completely different electrical wiring / harnesses. That's in addition to the different gearbox controls and possibly other factors that may need considering. The Driveshafts will also likely be different.
