3008 MK1 powerfold mirrors retrofit
Hi guys.
Someone smashed my mirrors on the parking lot, so I ordered new ones, but with powerfold and puddle function as mine didn't have that
Also got new mirrors/windows control switch unit for accepting extra 6pin slot.
Connected, but they doesn't work.
Only puddle lights work when I press folding function.
Have Lexia, but can't find anything related to it in BSI section, beside Folding mirrors with frequency control. Changed that to YES, but still nothing happens.
What I missing here?

Re: 3008 MK1 powerfold mirrors retrofit
Welcome to the Forum. It's a bit like waiting for a bus but don't worry - someone will come along with an answer. I fitted an electric Mirror and switch pad to my camper and was lucky that all the connectors were there and worked. Again, welcome and be patient. You might get asked for your vin number so look it out now. Cheers.

If you are asked for the VIN type it in, without any spaces, in this thread. Please don't post any photographs of it. There is software running in the background that will automatically obscure the VIN, but it can only work on text, in a format it recognises. This example shows it at work; VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Found it in BSI settings, changed to present, but still doesn't work. Actually Nothing works, except when I press folding button, it just light up puddle light.
Here is my original connector, 6pin

Here is new mirror cabling, 2x6 PIN, connected to new windows/mirror switch

It won't work with anything you can change in the BSI!
1) The mirrors are different for the vehicle options as you now know
2) There are 2 types of electronic architecture - ordinary electric mirrors and multiplexed electric mirrors - you need the correct version for your vehicle.
3) There are different electrical harnesses in the doors depending on options - so you may not have the correct harness for the type of door control pad.

Thanks for the answer
So what's the easiest way to find out what I have/need.
This is the door harness

Re: 3008 MK1 powerfold mirrors retrofit
Ok, so I've checked the difference in the electric mirrors and the multiplexed version has a CAN Comfort connection to the BSI. This is an extra connection not shown on the 'ordinary mirrors' I mentioned earlier.
The new electrical door harness you have is correct for both versions after checking your VIN - so you should now have the correct harness in place.
So the Door Control Panel is the next thing to check, as this is where the additional communication is - between the door control pad and the BSI.
As you can see from the 2 images below:
So you have the incorrect door control pad - there are several versions and you need the compatible version for electric fold back mirrors with blind spot monitoring (diode) up until build date 14055 (3 May 2015). Your build date is 12407 (28 October 2010).

As you can see from the 2 images below:

Thanks for the answer, excactly what I watched yesterday in Sedre
I bought pad too, with mirror folding function. And nothing work.
Forgot to attach which mirrors I got

Do I need to connect both mirrors?
I tried only with left one. Right one is still stock, non folding.

Re: 3008 MK1 powerfold mirrors retrofit
You may have the control pad for fold back mirrors but it must be the multiplexed version. As I mentioned, there is a multiplexed and non-multiplexed version of the control pad to go with the correct mirrors.
I can't help you with aftermarket parts - as I obviously can't compare those to original PSA part specifications.
I suspect that with multiplexed versions you may well need to have both the correct mirrors connected and the correct control pad.

Unfortunately that's not a recognised PSA part for this vehicle - it is probably the international number for another switch.
