MoneySavingExpert have produced an article on the pros and cons on - depending how you view it - the legal companies pursuing the various car manufacturers for their part in the emissions scandal, ......or the 'ambulance chasing' weasels trying to screw some money out of you/us/the manufacturers.
They will expand the article in due course, but for now it covers the basics, the pitfalls, and the pluses.
There do seem to be an awful lot of people signed up to the various schemes already though
Peugeot, Citroen, and Renault are all implicated..... but they're all adamant that there's nothing to see here, move along please
Apparently you can put your reg number into the various legal companies websites to see if you're eligible, but I've not been brave enough to do so as I have no desire for an endless barrage of communications from them as a result
