Total newbie to the world of the c4 Picasso

Hi, I have only last week bought a 58 plate C4 Picasso 1.6 hdi auto. I have never used an electronic handbrake before so up to now have been using it manually ie releasing the button rather than just pulling away and letting the car do that. Is it always best to flick the handbrake off manually than to leave it and just drive off. I have never owned a citroen before, its a lovely car with lots of really good features. Just need to get used to the size of the dashboard and car itself really.
Any advice on the best way to do this would be really appreciated.

It's entirely up to you which mode you want to use, but the system is designed do it all for you - especially if you are on an incline. This allows you to get your cutch control sorted before it releases the handbrake by monitoring the accelerator pedal position and the clutch (if fitted).

You can of course release it manually and keep your foot on the brake if preferred if you want a quicker get away as it were.

From experience;
When using auto handbrake be careful when pulling away from a very slight incline, the system can sometimes fail to register and the car will roll back or forth.

Trying to inch forward on to, for example, a car wash conveyor with this type of auto can prove challenging.

Completely ignore the recommended 16k oil change interval- 5k is my choice.

Occasionally lift the plastic cam carrier cover on the engine. Carefully inspect for any sign of oil pooling or black burnt deposits around the bases of the injectors. This will give you warning that the injector seals need attention. Pennies if caught- kk's if ignored
