My turn to ask for some help, as I'm drawing a bit of a blank on this one...
Am renovating the A/C system on the BX19D, VIN VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff], and have obtained a new thermal expansion valve (TXV), which attaches to the cabin evaporator.
.
Part no. is 6461.J3, which is NFP from Citroen, so have laid in an identical Mahle Behr AVE87000P.
Problem is the valve needs four O-rings (of two sizes) to attach, and these didn't come with the new valve.
Parts shows the valve, but not its O-rings (only those for the two engine-bay hoses).
I need the sizes of these rings.
The valve's manufacturer (Egelhof - it's their TCD2 / 320300S) says the O-rings are vehicle specific.
Citroen tech Coventry can't locate anything.
BXClub haven't turned up anything yet.
Measuring the new valve's grooves is a bit inconclusive, as there are several recesses, and there's a risk of damaging the soft aluminium surface of the seatings.
I guess the O-ring sizes must have been in a TSB, at some point?
Or maybe someone here has done the job?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Re: BX air-con TXV
Not sure if this will help Chris, but these people have the valves - clicking on the magnifying glass brings up some other info - but it may be useful if you contact them as I would of thought they would know which ones you need.

Re: BX air-con TXV
Hi Marc,
Yes, it helps a lot, and confirms the unit I've already bought should be the correct one.
Have now contacted them to see whether they can supply its O-rings, or know the sizes.
Much appreciated.

Re: BX air-con TXV
You turned up trumps there, Marc.
The Swiss came back by email within a couple of hours, and quoted all three ring sizes for the valve, which turn out to be included in a 280-ring HNBR box-set on Amazon.
The sizes correspond nicely with one of the groove positions in the valve.
Jaba on BXClub also turns out to have done the TXV job before, and has offered to confirm the sizings.
There are times, you know, when we can tell Citroen a thing or two...
A full write up of this slightly obscure job (TXV replacement) will get done.
