Injection correction values explained?

Post by Gregor »

Hi.

I know there has been a lot of topics about that in the past, but non of them actually cleared my questions about that item...

Lexia shows correction values in [%], FAP on android shows data in [ms] and noone tells what that mean. Any help and actual explanation is very welcome!

My thoughts and observations, using FAP software:

Correction displayed for each injector shows time (declared as ms) with + or - value. I think this is the actual time which is added or subtracted from time of main injection cycle calculated by ECM. Can anyone confirm that?
Ok, ms don't fit the picture since they are "to long" so I assume it should be microseconds instead. Correction works from idle til 1500 rpm, after that i only get -2 ms displayed on each injector. Is that the same case in Diag/Lexia or just bad working of FAP software?

Regards.
Gregor

Interesting that you get values in % in lexia. When I was dealing with this I had values in mm3/stroke.

As far as I understood it after reading around on other forums up to 1 mm3 is okay 2 mm3 is slightly bad and over 3.5 mm3 is very bad but I am not 100% sure about that so someone else with actual info will likely correct me.

You do have to rev it a bit before the values actually show correct. As seen on my picture at idle they are all over the place and when giving it some throttle they all snap back under 1 on my car.
