Re: MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
Yes, it is.
122k miles seems an extraordinarily high recommended belt replacement interval. Would make more sense in km...
Do remember (was it?) Renault suggesting engine oil replacement at 24k miles. Some Renault service technicians said at the time they wouldn't do this on their own cars.

Re: MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
It's the norm for a lot of modern engines - my C5 X7 (2.0 HDi DW10BTED4) is 160k Miles for the belt.
My current C3 Aircross DV5RD Blue HDI engine is 120k miles for the timing belt and coolant pump.

Re: MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
Maybe, but not (for example) what Continental recommend for their belts on their website.
An interesting calculation by someone of warranty risk vs sales/repair income.
Suspicious, moi?

Re: MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
But what do Gates belts recommend for aftermarket I wonder. The official Citroen timing kit for my X7 had a Gates belt in the box with water pump all seals and the timing tensioner rollers etc.
I suppose it depends on the quality and whether the OEM specific belts are of better quality... I shall have to have a look.
