hand brake warning

i get this following massage anyone any ideas
the garage i got the car from said they changed back brakes and disc so maybe something to do with that ?

so when i pull up i got to turn engine off wait for display to shut down restart and it clears no hand brake available during this time

You'll need to get it interrogated with a diagnostic computer. Is this a MK2 car? In which case it could well be corrosion of the wires from the rear calipers.
