ZX TD: whats my engine worth!?

my poor ZX is now going to be written off

going to get the insurance moeny and then buy it back, front subframe and entire O/Side is scrap, front end is buckled.hit by a speedin car on a 30mph road, policeman sdaid he mustav been doin in excess of 50mph!! grrr!
anyway... need money toward snew car now... how much should i ask for my engine? its done 82000 miles, new belts, serviced every 4500 miles and in superb running order, ideas?

ps will be breaking rest of car when i have the clear from the insurance so all parts will be sold very cheaply to help you all

Have a ring round the breakers and ask for the same engine?

I'd recon about £100 to £150, maybe more.
Let us know when you sell all the bits! I'm interested as the other half has a ZX.
