Hello to the forum.
After going over a small branch at walking pace ......
Low pressure pipe split and fluid lost.
Pipes no longer made, even specialists (France) have no stock and no availability.
BUT (thank goodness) ... after a conversation with this French Citroen hydraulic specialist "Technicitro" ... here are photos of my repair done this morning.
Thought about disconnecting at the joint just out of shot but could not see how to do it apart from removing the white clip.
As there was already a split (and a small hole) I was able to bend the aluminium enough to make it snap. Did it that way to avoid swarf from any cutting tools.
Hydraulic hose with 13mm bore sleeved over and hose-clipped (advised that fancy connecters were pointless as there is very little pressure).
After this I added an aluminium plate to give a better skid plate to the by now slightly lower pipe.
Test driven twice and all dry.
The alternative method advised by specialist was to cut off the whole pipe except the short bit into the rack itself and replace the whole lot with flexi. Did not fancy that one.
