hi all,
first post hope someone can help out, have a 2015 C4GP 1.6 manual Hdi. For the last year and half its giving an intermittent problem when using the key fob, side mirrors failing to unfold, indicators flash 3 times and ignition not coming on but after sitting in the car for 10 or 15 mins and pressing start button ignition would come on
usually when everything working the fob is pressed mirrors unfold and ignition come on when start pressed
since the last 2 weeks now even after waiting 15 mins, no ignition no start and car going straight in to economy mode active, anyone have any ideas what's going on as totally lost and don't know what to do
i have found a fault code related to the battery fuse box and attached a picture of it, do you think this would be the cause of the problem i read on another post that if the vehicle is not used much voltage drops can cause the central power switch relay to get stuck and shut down the unit, would this stop the mirrors unfolding and no ignition coming on
hope someone can help out
pete

Re: C4GP Non Starter Economy Mode Active
Welcome along Pete.
If it is still on its original battery and you aren't using it much, it may well just be that the battery is suspect - I would fit a new one first off and see what happens.

thanks richard!
battery was changed last year and still showing the same problem, i have read on the peaugeot forums that if the car has been sitting idle for long periods with the voltage dropping the relay to turn off power in the battery protection fuse box can become stuck and maybe thats where the problem is, really confused as been 2 weeks now and car no ignition and no start
thanks again for the reply

stuck relay or bsi comms error?
hi all
have c4gp which is not starting and no ignition. on opening the fusebox which sits with the battery(supplies protection unit) i found that the cables on one side had no power and the relay controlling the power to those wires is stuck and the car is in a deep sleep state and not awakening
would replacing the supplies protection box fix the problem or is the bsi not communicating with the relay to wake it up
thanks for the help

Re: stuck relay or bsi comms error?
Not familiar with this unit. Is it possible to check if the relay is getting the switching voltage?

Re: stuck relay or bsi comms error?
hi richard,
thanks for the quick reply, when unlock is pressed on the keyfob there is 1.4 volts registering on the relay circuit but it is sticking and will just not work, i can see the relay is stuck just trying to work out if the fault is with the relay or the bsi not sending it the switching voltage
thanks again for the help

Re: C4GP Non Starter Economy Mode Active
Merged this with the previous thread about the same fault.
Seems to be some stuff on the net about this fault, but nothing conclusive. This appears to be the unit?
Must be a hefty relay in there?? 1.4V is never good... relay might do its thing if you give it a clonk when it is energised?
