This is a strange one. The Picasso (xsara 1.6 petrol) is acting up again. A new battery a few weeks ago, but it has let me down a couple of times since. I can use the car no problem, go for a drive, stop. Return to the car in as little as five minutes and you just get a click and a dashboard that goes out like the battery is flat, turn back to position one and the dashboard comes back online. I've even had this turning off the car and immediately attempting to turn the engine back on again without leaving the driving seat.
Now the odd part, I've found that if I put the car in gear (2nd or 3rd) rock it back and forth a couple of times it will start no problem - just like a sticking starter motor. Am I on the right track here or could it in fact be something electrical other than the starter motor??
Any help or suggestions please.
