Peugeot 407 Hdi 2.0 Headlight Assembly

Hi,

Is the headlight assembly on a 1.6 hdi 407 the same as the 2.0 hdi 407?

My 2.0 has a bad looking passenger side unit, the right side looks much newer and I can get my hands on a 1.6 hdi passenger unit.

Also does bumper need removed?

Can't help on the parts but yes the bumper needs to come off. You need to make a special tool to unclip the headlight from inside the wing and also undo the bolts, 3 each side I think again from under the wing, before you 'ease' the bumper out from it's clips otherwise they will break.
The special tool is a piece of thin bar with a 90 deg bend on the end.
It goes through it in the BOLs and is quite straight forward.

They will be the same as long as they are not from the Coupe version and not the discharge light type (Xenons).
