Hello All,

I have a problem where my satnav/stereo works randomly and when it doesn't the screen doesn't come on and the radio will not work and the MPH reverts to KMH.

The information i got is , Unit reference : 9678506377 , SW Version RNEG2.60.F.1 / BR:6.2.60D1:pr

So from what i've found is my fireware version is 2.60, I'm thinking if i can find or upgrade it to the next fireware it might sort the troubles i'm having my Head unit is not the SD mirco version mine is the USB by the Axu on the floor version but i'm having trouble sourcing a download to do this can someone give me some advice on where to find the next one or how to fix the issue that i'm having?

Several things:

1) You mis-understand the RT6 - we are not talking about an SD card on the exterior. No RT6 units have this. We are referring to the Micro SD card inside the head unit. RT6 units have no hard drives, they use Flash Memory and these cards can wear out or become defective over time.

2) A new firmware upgrade is rarely going to fix this - you very likely need a new internal micro SD card. If you have errors now, updating the firmware is likely to cause more issues.

Okay sounds easy enough do you recommend me going to the dealers to get the CD once i get the new micro SD in the head unit once i've followed the detailed steps provided by yourself

Be wary - the latest 2.86 Firmware is a major update and depending on vehicle and firmware version installed at the factory, upgrading can reset the system configuration often requiring dealer intervention to reconfigure and restore your factory options. I always recommend you buy an original CD from the dealer (online versions from the bay of evil are often copies and therein lies some of the issues).

You may be lucky and it will retain the information - but if installing a new Micro SD card it may still need dealer intervention once you have booted off the firmware CD and restored the operating system onto the new card.

I did the new firmware just wondering as everything works perfectly but its gone to a different language, the satnav stopped working(But i suspect getting Cd with the england maps will resolve that) and my MPH is stuck on KPH, Done some researching but cannot see if there is a way to change the language back to English or the MPH to KPH or is it a case i'll have to take it into Citoren to be looked at?

If anyone has had similar do you know what prices I'd be expecting to look at?

You’ll find that if you don’t have the menu to change the language or the user preferences for units and temperature ( in other words it’s missing) then this is a symptom that the unit has lost its configuration during the update.

A dealer charges about £60 for a diagnostic. So just go and tell them you have updated the firmware and it needs re-configuring via their servers.

Okay perfect thank you for the help at least the functions are working and my stereo is finally running i'll see if they can fit it tomorrow

It’s only a matter of them connecting up their Diagbox, running a test in internet enabled Mose and allowing the unit to be configured remotely. The technician just checks that the configuration and the system is functioning and you are done. By the way, make sure they apply the Bluetooth Echo fix whilst they are at it. It may be done as part of the procedure, but I can’t be sure.
