Hi all.
I've a 2006 C5 2.0 16v Hdi Auto Exclusive.
It needed a passenger mirror before I got it. I had one put on just to get the car here to me..
So I decided to connect it up and see what happens.. The mirror was off a 2004 exclusive.
The mirror adjusts as normal for direction.. But auto dip in R has a mind of its own.. That could be the glass motor fortunally I have the 06 motor to try in it.. But the folding motor works but isn't strong enough to fold the mirror in.
Is it a forget it job and change it or can they be revived..?
Thanks.

May be the plastic gearing is worn - there are suppliers of these on the aftermarket though you may be able to get one a lot cheaper if it's important.
Have a squiz here Paul:

There are different specs available and they can also paint for an additional fee or you can have it as is.

Blimey 83 quid.. The drivers one folds... There's a pair from an exclusive on fleabay for 53 quid or so.... But could be as bad..
I assume we cannot access the drive. Motor then.. And it's a swap job?

Re: Mk. 1 C5 power fold lazy
As far as I'm aware there's no replaceable parts - these are generally considered recycle and replace. That's a bargain considering my C5 X7 one was at one point over £950 each....... They are now a reasonable £750 ish

I simply wouldn't have an x7 although there's loads a X7 mirrors which I think all are. Power fold.

Yes they are all different though options are different according to spec.
Heated
Power Folding
Electrically Adjustable
Electrochromed (auto Dimming)
Indexable in Reverse Gear with Memory positioning.
The top spec. that has it all was the £900+ one, so treated mine with kid gloves.
