Hpfp access

Unread post by MarkyD1977 »

Hi all. I'm trying to access the high pressure fuel pump on a DV6 engine in a Peugeot 5008 (1.6 Hdi). This appears to be right at the back of the engine below the fuel filter housing and is impossible to get at. Surely access isn't by engine removal? Any advice from the learned members appreciated.

To get that off you need at least to remove:
  • The engine style cover
  • The air filter housing
  • The fuel filter complete
  • The air inlet pipe
  • The fuel filter support
  • The exhaust gas recycling module
  • The timing belt
...and you need several tools to immobilise the fuel pump pulley etc.... It's not a quick job and the high pressure supply fuel pipes should always be replaced when removing pump.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Hi GiveMeABreak. My mate who's already had a look thinks air inlet manifold too. Thank you for your advice.
