807 radio question..

I keep getting traffic announcements via the radio, is there a way to turn it off? It appears to be greyed in the menu option.

Am I missing something really obviously (like a clue )

There should be RDS and TA buttons, turn the TA one off.

That is always assuming that (because the button has been pressed a few million times) the word "Traffic" has not been worn away!

Haha brilliant response Marc .. when I click on Traffic on the head unit the option to manage traffics alerts at the bottom of the menu appears greyed out.

Above it it has opens for alerts along the route but I will be damned if I can turn them off!

All I have is "TMC station information" and it's greyed out.

TMC reception is dependent upon station and signal and location of course, but regardless, you should be able to turn it off. Normally, when calculating a route, you can chose the type of route - whether the route is dynamically routed dependent upon traffic conditions for example - or semi-dynamic or ignores them all together.

But for the general TMC, you should be able to turn that off.

The TMC icon, at the bottom left of the screen, may
appear in 3 different forms:

- No TMC station available,
- TMC station available, no message on route,
- TMC station available and messages on route
(if guidance is active).

So Press the TRAFFIC button once, to show any TMC messages you have received (there may not be any).
Press the TRAFFIC button again to see options for the various settings.

It should all be on page 9.53 of the handbook.

Thanks Marc. I couldn't get the options to work until I did a full factory reset on the head unit.

It must have had a glitch as now works fine, but before all the options were greyed out.
