Hello all,
I have recently purchased a 2015 (65 plate) Bipper 1.3HDi. It has covered a mere 138k but has issues.
Since purchase I have replaced:
Diesel leak off pipes
Removed/had tested/refitted 4 injectors
Battery
Blanked EGR with "holed blank plate"
The problem with it is that it starts perfectly well with no issues, will sit and tick over without drama. Whilst stationary it will not rev past 2800rpm and once warm it also "pinks" sometimes.
Once you start to drive it is like driving a normally aspirated diesel engine that has been driven to the shops once a month by your grandad - it will not rev past 2800rpm and will not break 45mph. When you get to a hill it quivers and slows to a halt.
There are no cam chain rattles and as already stated the injectors have been tested and are with boundries.
I blanked the EGR as it was a similar problem I suffered with another brand of vehicle, I used a blank with a 6mm hole in the centre so that the vehicle did not go in to limp.
The only other thing of note is that it appears to carry out lots of regens (white smoke) and once hot its appears to gain what I can only describe as a misfire and ooodles of smoke under the bonnet that smells dieselly.
Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.
Bipper 1.3HDi wont exceed 2750rpm

We can't really support you if you've blanked the EGR - it is not something this Forum condones as it is illegal to tamper with the emissions systems on public road-going vehicles (Please read the Forum AUP that you agreed to when registering): See A 7 (i) of viewtopic.php?t=56502
It is well known that this sort of action will ultimately cause problems with the engine management system.
