Replace oil seal diesel injection pump

Post by xf1ref »

Hi everyone,

Just curious if someone already changed the oil seal from injection pump on RHH engine. The pump code is 9424A050A and is known that oil from the engine is dropping on the antifreeze hose coming from the water pump and in time that hose will break. I know that there is also a service bulletin with this issue.
I just bought the oil seal, code for this is 200334237B from Corteco and I intend to change it in near future.

Coming back with some news. Yesterday I've changed the oil seal, is a easy job to do it.
The hard part is the finding of the coupling from the pump to camshaft. The OE code is 1933 46 on the documentation and on exploded view of the pump the code is 28353825.
I can find only the code from RHR engine, 1933 40 or 28353824 or delphi 7190-067 and I'd like to know if these two are interchangeable.
The coupling has a little bit of wear and I think is the source of an irregular knocking sound at idle.

I really wouldn’t mess about with this, get the correct part, if its not right it could have really bad consequences.
What is your VIN?

I think the description is wrong because the gasket code is 192726.

Hi, I have some bigger leak around pump, it's same as yours just in my case it's on Peugeot 508.

I didn't find any other post so just if you can give me some more info.

- Does pump require some timming when mounting it back?
- Which parts should I prepare to change, that O seal on pump and is there some other gasket between pump and engine?
