C6 Fault Code P023E

Post by ds21h »

Hello I have C6 from 2009 with the 2.2 Hdi engine and auto box.

It currently has the EML on and shows only 1 fault code P023E which I believe is pressure sensor 2.

From cold the car will run fine but once warm it looses power and will not pass 2500 rpm.

Does anyone have a diagram or a link to show where the sensor is located and possibly a part number please.?

Happy to donate to keep this excellent site going.

Many thanks

Mark,
P023E Turbo pressure signal (turbo 2) : Coherence between the 3 pressure sensors
This might be a tuff one to track down. The code suggests it could be one of three sensors!
Your C6 will be the bi-turbo and if the fault is on the second turbo it's not a great surprise it only happens after warming up.

I've put this circuit diagram up as a vector graphic to help in your deliberations - so should maintain resolution when scaled.

So you have the DW12BTED4 Twin Turbo - here's the Injection Diagram for you and the location of certain components:

You can look up the codes of the hardware on our wiki that has most of them in sections in Ascending order:

There are 2 different pressure sensors listed. You could disconnect each one in turn with the ignition on & see if the fault code comes up with sensor 1 or sensor 2 to confirm which is which.

Marc, Wheeler, great info, I know where to come if I need diagrams/parts info, thanks.

Mark,
Having looked at the diagrams, I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's a MAF (air flow meter) fault! I would try Wheeler's suggestion to see it the error can be "forced" or if a different code is created but I'm heading to a MAF error which are notoriously difficult to pin down (and even more difficult to find a good replacement without paying Citroen stealer prices).

Please let us know how you get on...

Hello again finally received a new sensor fig 21 on the previous diagram and deleted the code.

All is fine for about 1 minute then the EML comes on again and the same code.

I don't appear to have any vaccum at the pipe on the rear of the sensor I have replaced, does anyone have a diagram of where this vaccum pipe goes to as I cannot trace its route.

I have tried to swap the sensor from the first turbo, fig 15 but the sensor is not the same.

Many thanks

Hello, found the fault, it was a broken vaccum pipe at the back of the engine, all fixed now.

Thanks for all the input.
