Hi,
I have my beloved C5 for sale/to go. It has 130k on the clock, 2006 (56), Exclusive hatchback, clean interior, bit dents on the roof from bikes. Runs very well, I was always servicing it every year with mot (filters/oil etc, changed cambelt once). Parking sensors are dead, well - front ones work until R is selected (automatic gear box). Lot of errors (I have full list from my garage), like power steering faulty etc, but I don't think those are real - probably sensor fault, as car drives really well. To be honest, is best driving/ride I know... I don't have patience, time and money (London garages are not cheap) and bought 2013 Honda CRV now, but I don't want to get rid of my car. I love C5 (drove them for 7 years) and don't want to just get rid of my car. Problem is, battery is dead (1 yo, why???) and I am not sure if I want to buy new battery for 100, pay for extra parking, and deal with people who might buy or not my car if I will get, say 250 GBP for it - I can simply use 'car wanted' service and order pizza for 50 quid I will get for my car....
EDIT: oh, and I dug out old service book and I think I will be able to get rest of the service history from my garage.

Re: How much my C5 might be worth
I recently bought a C5 Mk2 (2007) estate (2.2 HDI) VTX+ for around £1,600, so I think yours would be worth somewhat more than £250!

Re: How much my C5 might be worth
I have just part exchanged my 128000 mile 2001 2.2 HDi Exclusive SE and he allowed me £750 for it. Hence had I put it on the private market I would have expected £1200-1500 for it if that gives you a clue. Good luck

Thanks, this sounds not that bad. But I believe your cars haven't had so many errors if any?

Re: How much my C5 might be worth
My car had a dodgy screen ECU resulting in it being fairly unusable, the screen that is, so you were missing a lot of information. The story is well documented elsewhere on the forum under Mk1 C5 Screen Issues!!

Have you asked the local dismantlers for a battery? £20 will usually get you a good one that will last maybe two or three years as mine did when I put my C5 back on the road.

Re: How much my C5 might be worth
Sadly, I just sold the car. I really enjoyed driving C5, can't compare comfort to anything. But car is just a car, and I hope my new CRV will be as much fun and will take us to our favourite places.
