There is no sound when indicators or hazards are used
Is this normal?

No, not normal, so my first question is, have you changed any configuration settings in the BSI or added any aftermarket equipment?

As far as I am aware everything is standard
It did used to click when the hazards were operated but it is all silent now

I find that every so often the indicator sound doesn't happen on both our X7 and 308 but it is very rare and sorts itself out before too long - usually the next time I start the engine. As a result, providing they're working at MOT time, I don't worry.
If this is a semi-permanent state then that might be a different thing. I also found that the indicator sound is suppressed if you're getting warning bongs for something like leaving a door open. Maybe check that all doors, tailgate, bonnet are properly closed?
