C4 Picasso 2012 headlights not working

Hello there.
I have a 2012 Citroen C4 Picasso. The sidelights and headlights on both sides have stopped working. This happened at the same time on the same day last week. I have checked the fuses: all good. The main beam work when the indicator stick is pulled. The lighting status (sidelights and headlights on dipped) both function on the steering wheel display. all other lights work fine.
Any ideas please.

Have you checked the bulbs? Do the mains when switched to main, or only when the stalk is pulled as for a headlamp flash?

The sidelights on these are not connected, although they appear to have bulbs in them - the sidelight function is taken care of by the DRLs.

No, I haven’t checked bulbs as I thought it was a big coincidence that both should go at the same time. I’ll check again if the dipped beam works when the indicator stalk is pulled to get the “flash” function.....

Because the headlight bulbs produce a lot of light you may not notice when one has failed. You certainly do when the other one fails though! When was the last time you did a bulb test walk around? During the dark months I try to do that once a month (if I remember).
