Colder mornings are making it more difficult to start. Usually starts on the button, more or less, but now taking a while on the colder mornings.
Tried switching on the ignition a couple of times to give extra heating to the glow lugs but to no avail! Battery was replaced last year.

Possibly the starter, common problem.
If you decide to replace it, avoid ECP as their own brand starters are hopeless. GSF are a better source although more expensive - look for discounts that can be very worthwhile.

Re: C8 Starting problems
Both of my C5's are doing that and one has a new starter and battery, I think its a combination of the extreme cold and lack of use at present. The red one wouldn't start at all a couple of days ago, yesterday I went outside armed with a meter and the wife to run some voltage drop tests - started immediately didn't it.

Re: C8 Starting problems
I managed to get a good run of 80 miles last week and the temperature has now risen from -4 to 11 or 12 so the car's starting on the button almost. The immediate problem appears to have diminished for the moment so I'll wait till the next time it goes in for service/repair. The chances of another cold snap down here in the South are diminishing so it's not so urgent!
