Hello from Dunakeszi

Unread post by Laczi »

Hello,

I'm a relatively new owner of a 2009 Peugeot 308 SW (after owning a german 1Z 1.9 TDI for 15 problem free years), I found this site when I googled 1.6 HDI related infos to know better this car. It's from Italy, with no service record and low mileage (109.000 kms) if I believe the dash (I'm sceptic :) )

Hi, and :welc: to the Forum.

Because of the way the ECUs work together to record the mileage that is probably an accurate reading. The mileages are recorded in TWO places, and if they do not match (such as could happen if the speedometer assembly was replaced) the ECUs will recognise this and then reset to the HIGHER mileage.

Hello Laczi and welcome to the forum.

My Great Grandfather came to England from Hungary in the 1880s. I visited where he came from (Miskolc) twice in 2011 and 2012. I know it's not near to Budapest where you are but when we (eventually) are allowed to drive again Budapest is a place I would like to visit.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
