Fiat Ulysse 1.9TD - Fuel Pump identification for use with Veg oil

Unread post by JacobsMess »

Sorry but it's basically a Synergie, I'm about to purchase a Fiat Ulysse 1.9TD 1999 but I'm not sure if they all run Bosch or some run Lucas (bad for veg) Injector Pumps.
Can anyone clarify if this is the case?
Thanks

It could be either, but most of the later versions of this engine were Bosch. You would need to see it, or a photo of it, to confirm - if it's got a flying saucer on the top it's Bosch.

That is indeed a Bosch pump. A Bosch AS3 to be precise... Mostly mechanical but with electronic timing control.

Fine for use with straight veg. oil.
