Berlingo 1.9d tempreature gauge light staying on.

Hi,
My temperature gauge illumination light on my 2001 1.9d berlingo is on permanently, which eventually flattens the battery.
I checked the earths in both foot wells and also beside the battery, all are good. Removed the binnacle and checked plugs -all ok.
I am thinking of cutting the feed to the light on the back of the gauge panel as a last resort but don't know which colour the bulb feed wire is.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
