Another reason why I'll never have a fully autonomous car - they just cannot account for all the variables - or reasoning / common sense that a human mostly has (and I say mostly as there are some dozy nits about). Totally ridiculous and that's why you can never programme them with every eventuality.
Our new car has got the autonomous braking system / collision warning - but I hope I'll never see it in action!
I can accept technology to augment the human aspect, but not replace it.
The Boeing 737 Max fiasco over MCAS where the pilots couldn’t override the Autopilot was another example unfortunately for the hundreds that lost their lives.
