Hi everyone
I'm new to Citroen ownership & we bought our first ever Citroen on new years day a 2007 2.0 HDI auto estate.
All was fine with the cruise all week until Wednesday, went to set it & it just stayed in the off position no matter what I did & hasn't worked since.
Plugged my code reader in & it's telling me the fault is BSI 521 Switch position cruise control faulty ratio.
Can't find anything online to give me any pointer where to start.
Anyone here had this issue????

That isn't a full or proper code, your missing at least another character or digit.
Have you tried rotating the barrel on the cruise stalk down to the speed limiter and then tried to set a speed with the MEM+ / - buttons whilst driving? What does the display show?
Then, again move the barrel back to the middle and then onto the Cruise setting and try again to set a speed.
Bear in mind that cruise will only work in 4th gear at about 30 mph or above on these.
If you are not getting any results, then the system has been disabled by the engine management ECU for one or more reasons. It may be a faulty brake switch, but there are other reasons also - so get the proper code and post it back up. Bear in mind aftermarket basic fault code readers often won't be able to read any but the common fault codes and often cannot read the specialised / manufacturer fault codes. You really need somebody with a Lexia kit to do this.

Cheers Marc, yep tried all that to no avail.GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑09 Jan 2021, 10:31Have you tried rotating the barrel on the cruise stalk down to the speed limiter and then tried to set a speed with the MEM+ / - buttons whilst driving? What does the display show?

Couldn't get a new brake switch today so I'll have to wait until next week.
