Hi, When i brought my car it had a very slight but obvious pinking coming from the rocker cover. Just recently it seems to have got much worse and is now much louder.
I have only had the car 6 months and dont drive like an idiot.
Just wondered if i could do anything about this to make it quieter, is only done 40k.
Could it be the tappets on the cam that need replacing, how about a dose of something like Slick 50 as well. I have just put in Texaco petrol, i usually use supermarket.
Any suggestions, only if the tappets sound like the case, how would i find out which type of tappets the car has, are they adjustable?
Please help its sounds crap.
