DS5 Xenon Lights Issue.

Unread post by stephenjohnsharp »

Hi all,

I have a Citroen DS5 Hybrid (62 plate 2012).

My Xenon Lights have developed an issue. When I unlock the car, the welcome lights all turn on as normal. When I press 'start/stop' button the xenon lights flash on and off three times then switch off and cannot be switched back on again until I leave the car, lock and unlock and re-enter. (All fuses have been checked and no faults codes are reported).

Does anybody have any thoughts ideas or solutions please?

Thanks, Steve.

Hi Steve

Unfortunately there are over a 100 fault codes for the Lighting system alone, so we would need to have the codes to be able to point you in the right direction as it were.

This may be a network communication with the BSI, an electrical connection, a fault with the body height sensors, the switch module at the steering wheel, wiring, earthing, BSI etc., you get the picture.

The directional lighting system has a specific test procedure it goes through when they are activated and if there is a problem with the directional side of things, the headlamps will normally switch back to dead ahead mode when switched on manually. If you can get it read with Diagbox and pop the codes up we may be able to give some pointers.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thanks for the reply, Marc.

The Xenons do go through the dip test when the car starts (not sure if the error is anything to do with that at this stage).

Thanks for your help and I'll post back when I find some some error codes.

Regards, Steve.
