C3 picasso; audible sound after 2-3 minutes of starting the engine
I have citroen C3 picasso - 1.6 hdi from 2011 (just bought it) and what I find really annoying is that every time, after 2-3 minutes of starting the engine I can hear an audible sound, like a short beep; no warning light, no change in the way car drives or handles. I do not hear that beep again whilst driving. I simply do not know what it can be. I have checked the speed limiter to make sure its off. It had a non-original radio before, I have fitted n an original one now - no change. Is there anything I can do to make it go away? WOuld disconnecting battery help? Is there any point in connecting to a computer to check for any errors? Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: C3 picasso; audible sound after 2-3 minutes of starting the engine
A beep like this is often from the Head Unit - which tells you it is not coded to the vehicle and will have limited functionality.
When you fitted an original head unit back - it is important to VIN code it to the vehicle - which will need a suitable diagnostic tool like Diagbox (not a code reader) and there may be other options to configure if it has come from another vehicle.
If it was any other warning, it would be followed by a message and / or a light - but depending on vehicle and equipment the message, if displayed via the Head unit display may not be showing if the Head Unit is not coded to the vehicle as explained above.

Basically run a Global test Colin, then see what errors are reported, write the codes down, select each ECU for a more detailed fault description. Specifically also look for the Audio head unit ECU and go into the parameters to check that the VIN code recorded or part of the VIN code matches the relevant part of the actual vehicle VIN and if not, note how many characters / digits is currently showing and replace those with the corresponding part of the proper VIN. That's assuming it is the incorrect VIN that is causing the beeps. Of course, go through and check other faults too.
