Swapping a C1 Battery...

The battery in Robyn's Series 1 C1 (14 plate) has finally died... Not altogether surprising as it's been ailing for a few weeks now...

Is there any special precautions or procedures that need to be taken when replacing it?

I can arrange a second battery in parallel as as a 'keep alive' if need be...

Nothing special as not multiplexed.
If i remember right they do have a radio code though.
A 063 battery fits in no problem & is bigger (and usually cheaper) than the original 202.

I swapped the battery today and I'm happy to report the radio did not need a code but it did loose all its settings...

Robyn was not best pleased about having to retune the radio and reset the clock but delighted she now has a car she can trust again

She treated me to a can of brake cleaner, a Costa coffee and a vegan mince pie in payment

Just charging my grandson's battery but it looks like a goner - 3.7V.

Don't drink all that brake cleaner at once Jim.

And they don't upset me... A result both ways

Sadly, 99.9% of food I don't cook myself from scratch causes me lots of grief... Costa mince pies are a big exception and I love them for it

In truth, I covet the stuff as it's the only solvent I'm not badly allergic to

I use it whenever a solvent is needed and it works well...

Zel paid me in brake cleaner for fixing his Activa a while back!

I'd love to know what's in it...

One of my daughters is a vegan baker and has just started supplying a vegan pizzeria - near me, forty-odd miles from her home.
