Citroen C4 Blaupunkt radio code

Unread post by matejjelinek »

First of all I want to say Hi to everyone on here, I'm a new member
Also I want to apologise if this topic already exists here..but I cant find anything on here that would help me solve my issue..neither does google or youtube provide any sulutions.

Recently I purchased Citroen C4 1.6HDI 80kw, 2004
It had replacement, cheap, overall poor quality radio installed
So I went to the scrapyard..found original Blaupunkt radio that came originally with the car from that time and I bought it.

So this is where my problem kicks in
Scrappers didnt have code for the radio (go figure #-o ) and sticker with part number or whatever it is that was glued on below serial number was gone.

So my question is,
Is it possible to retrieve radio code using only serial number ?
And also..how do I enter the code?
Radio works..but every 2 sec there is annoying beep. But it doesnt ask me to enter the code..is there some key press combination to enter the code entry screen ?

Hi, and :welc: to the forum.

There is no code to enter. What you will have to do is to 'code' the new radio to the VIN. You have to use a DiagBox/Lexia diagnostics tool to 'introduce' the radio to the car, and that will then clear up the beeping. It may be possible to get a dealer to do this, but they will probably charge a fee for doing so.

I have read about that, luckily enough there is a video on youtube where a guy does exactly what you said,
connects to a car using a Diagbox, does few clicks..changes the VIN in radio settings and problem is solved
I have Delphi diagnostic tool/software
Is it possible to find Diagbox online and download it? and use delphi cable with the diagnostic
I know im asking nonsense questions...but who knows, maybe there is a way?

DiagBox is used in partnership with the Actia hardware. It is unlikely it will work with other diagnostic hardware.

Don't be concerned about asking questions. The reason to ask is because you don't know the answer, and the main reason the forum exists is to help answer questions.
