Oil recommedation for non DPF 1.6hdi 110 engine

Good Morning,

I have had it kindly clarified by Marc that my car (2005 Xsara Picasso 1.6hdi 110hp) definitely is definitely NOT fitted with a DFP / FAP.

With the above in mind, what oil should I be using in terms of whether the low ash / saps type oil has any benefits for a non DPF engine such as keeping the turbo clean?

Alternatively should I just use Total Quartz 9000 5w 40 which I understand is a more conventional oil?

Ant advice gratefully received.

Total seem to recommend - in order of preference: Quartz Ineo First 0W-30, Quartz Ineo ECS 5W-30, Quartz Ineo Efficiency 0W-30.
Castrol seem to recommend - in order of preference: Castrol EDGE 0W-30, Castrol EDGE 5W-40, Magnatec STOP-START 5W-30 C2.
They both reckon you've got a DV6TED4 engine.

PS. Checked with the guys at Opie oils and their opinion is that whilst a low ash oil would do no harm to a non DPF car it would also not carry any benefit so 5w 40 Total Quartz 9000 for instance would be fine.
