P0104 Citroen C4 1.6HDI DV6TED4

Post by Markta »

Hi,

I still have p0490, 0409, 1351 and now a new code 0104 which I believe to be connected to the MAF.

Anyone with any thoughts on what this could be would be most welcome.

Thanks

A description of the fault you are having with the car & any symptoms would be helpful.

Have noticed a drop in fuel economy, even taking into account the colder weather.

Get an MIL ABS/ESP and depollution fault.

Engine seems to go into limp and is then fine next time engine is started but MIL still comes on after another 6 starts and restarts.

General issues are hesitation from 0mph and sometimes between 15-30mph, once car is up to speed, it drives absolutely fine.

I’m assuming t

I did take the car out last night with my laptop connected, collecting live parameter data, including turbo boost pressure, air intake, solenoids etc etc.

Haven’t had much chance to evaluate the data as yet.

Sounds like the EGR valve to me. Have a look on the live data and see what the reported position is doing in respect to the requested position. If it's wandering about or not achieving the target, then it's suspect.

Looks like time to get the EGR valve out then.

That data can't be in a test drive - all but the last 3 the engine is not running.....!!

These are some of the values captured during the test drive, the EGR values recorded as zero throughout the 15 miles travelled.

So I cannot see anything glaringly obvious on the data, other than no reading on the EGR values at any revs / gear etc and a slight variance in air mass.

The EGR is quite new (Valeo) so I’m suspecting it’s a wiring issue. May try a BSI reset first unless anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks
