Citroen C4 Grand Picasso II 1.6HDI 2014 Electric parking brake fault

Post by matfyzak »

Hello guys. I have recently got a problem with my parking brake. It does not work at all. I tried Lexia and got this error:

C1560 00 Electric parking brake (FSE) left hand actuator

I tried to change the parking brake unit on the rear left wheel, but it did not help. Fault is permanent, cannot be deleted. Detail says that there might be a short circuit.

Any hints what could i try? Where are the cables going thru?

A very similar fault was discussed here recently: https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... hp?t=64916

Looks like the wires are a bit under spec / exposed and corrode through, suggest you get them out the sleeve and have a good look.

Hi I have a similar issue.
How did you fix it?
If wiring issue, can it be self resolved? Does it need to go to the dealer?
