Hi guys.
I have a big problem with my Citroen C5 2011 1.6 hdi. I saw that the engine looses a lot of oil under it. I attached some photos to see exactly where. It’s loosing about 3l in aprox 300 km. From what i’ve seen it’s loosing from below the oil cooler (which was replaced 1-2 months ago). Now, even if I drive 10 km in the city, the oil down there starts to smoke.
From where do you think the oil gets out?
Thanks.

Re: Oil under the engine Citron C5
I think that the construction is similar to the THP engine, with which I am more familiar. If so, there is a sandwidge plate between the heat exchanger and the block, with a rubber seal on each side of the sandwich plate.
You may need to get a kit and replace both sets of seals.

I thought about that too, I also think about the oil filter, because i didn’t replace it at time. Could that be also a possible cause?
