Peugeot 208 touchscreen question

Post by Beth_S »

Hi.

Ive just picked up my 208 this evening and have a quick question regarding the touchscreen audio inputs.

I can get all of the radio bands without any problem but the iPod, Bluetooth etc icons on the screen are 'shaded' out and do nothing when I try and press them.
Does this mean they are not applicable to my model or is there some way of turning them on?

The car is a 2015 model.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi and welcome Beth.

What you will find is that some of the later systems have various options that can be enabled - and some that are not available as they were not specified on that model / unit.

If you post up your VIN (which is automatically masked from public view on submission), I will take a look at your vehicle and what options it was fitted with. Having said that, I would of thought Bluetooth at least would be enabled as that has been around for a while now and pretty standard - but - again, looking at the screen in your picture, that seems to be for the music source. So it is possible that you have Bluetooth phone capability, but it may not support Audio streaming. Either that, or if it is Bluetooth Audio streaming capable, then a phone may first need to be paired before you can select that option for music streaming. It's the same for the other options - they may remain greyed out until a device is connected like a USB, an Ipod or something plugged into the AUX socket first of all.

It should all be in the handbook - but if you don't have one, let me know and I can probably get you a PDF of one once I have your VIN.

Thankyou!

I have managed to get the bluetooth working (after several attempts!) for both phone and audio too.

The other two areas are still greyed out so I will try and plug my old iPod into it to see if it changes.

Thanks for the help and info.
