Just inherited an 03 C5 2.0l HDi SX
It has a fast hydraulic oil leak and the garage told me to go and find a 'hydraulic system oil cooler'
Can anyone help me establish what this part is and suggest any breakers who might have one.
Thank You
James

Re: C5 Hydraulic system oil cooler
I'm assuming your C5 has an automatic gearbox and that he's referring to the oil cooler for the transmission?

Re: C5 Hydraulic system oil cooler
No it's manual.
The leak is def in the suspension system. I filled it with LDS and it poured out.
From your reply I take it there is no cooler in the hydraulic system?
Thanks

Do you have a picture of the leaking part or at least a pic of the area?

Re: C5 Hydraulic system oil cooler
Afraid not, it's at the garage. I was hoping someone might know what the part was but it sounds like I'll have to go back and ask the mechanic what he means by 'hydraulic system oil cooler' (and see if I can get a pic)wheeler wrote: 23 Sep 2020, 18:20 Do you have a picture of the leaking part or at least a pic of the area?

Re: C5 Hydraulic system oil cooler
So, am I right in thinking there is no part in the hydraulic system that cools the LDS oil?

There is no hydraulic oil cooler for the LDS.
