I recently purchased a plip second hand for my citroen xantia td estate the old one has two buttons the new one has a single button but looks the same in other respects whats the difference and will the new one work and how do i programme it I've heard it's easy

Is this an IR or HF version.
(IR version has the reciever bulb in the headlining between the sun visors.)

It is the one with the round thing in the headlining near the rear view mirror

Reprogramming is just a matter of turning on the ignition then holding the transmitter close to the reciever and pressing the button for a few seconds (may be as long as 10).
As I remember, the second button on the IR version activates the deadlocks whereas the RF version has one button to lock and one to unlock with the deadlocks activated by pressing the lock button again within a few seconds of locking.
Not sure how a one-button IR version would work.

did this worked great doors lock and unlock no dead locks or alarm but better than no remote at all thanks a lot
