Hi, I AM new here and sorry for my English, but I have got a problem with my Citroen C5 1.6 HDi (2008). I have got a leak from the power steering pipes. I tried in Citroen service (they are do not produce this anymore) and all scrap yards, but do not found nothing. Is anybody got that car on parts, or maybe know where I can found It please?
Please for help.
Best regards

Re: Citroen C5 (2008) power steering pipes
The whole Citroen power steering pipes & rack scenario for the X7 C5 is a total joke, Loads of them are no longer available from Citroen anymore & the ones that are available can go back order for months. 2 years ago I waited 6 months on the LP pipe to the rack, This is the longest i have ever had to wait on a back ordered part, thankfully the leak was quite small & was manageable by topping up every week or so. I was regularly emailing Citroen UK about it (I told them the car was off the road) and they just don't care.
I have a rusty pump to rack pipe that doesn't look to good & it is no longer available, when i discovered this the the car was less than 10 years old. Again i emailed Citroen to ask what am i meant to do when you cant supply replacement parts on a car that is not even 10 years old? They told me to use a scrap yard, when i told them that was no good as the pipes would be the same age & in the same corroded condition i was told to just google a 'specialist supplier'.
I'm just going to wait till it goes then hopefully be able to get a repair pipe made.
Cant even get a better condition ones from abroad as most of the steering pipes are specific to RHD models.
It has actually put me off owning another Citroen after this & sadly don't think i will get another one as I don't want to risk being stuck with a car i cant get parts for.
I also have a 25 year old (Jap import) Mazda that i have owned for the last 8 years. Until last year when i tried to get a thermostat pipe for it i have had no issues getting any parts for it from Mazda and in most cases arrive the next working day, never waited more than a few days.

Sadly you are not alone - the steering rack fiasco has led me to feel the same. If the pipes go on this or another rack - it will be going. 3 Steering racks in 79k miles......

@Szost
Can you explain exactly where the leak is? Maybe some photographs might help? Often not though as everything is covered in oil and dirt!

Yes, can you say exactly where the leak is?
We have lots of experience of two leakage points, but yours just might be different.
